Evidence Made Simple (EMS) Summaries

EMS summaries are tools we find useful in our practice to discuss treatment options for a variety of health conditions encountered in primary care with our patients.  Topics are selected in response to requests from our team.  In addition to summarizing the evidence (benefits and potential harms), the tool also includes the costs, coverage status with the provincial insurance plan.  The evidence, costs and coverage are periodically reviewed and updated.  We are based in Alberta Canada and all costs reflect this and are only approximations.
